Dear Mr. Rupp,
My name is Bob Bailey and I am a retired State Police officer from Maine. I would like you to know that the interview I just read (done in 2005, I believe), was so sweet. You really never do forget your first love, and I'm willing to bet that Miss Clutter really was the sweet, lovely girl who always had time for others that I have heard. My condolances are offered to you and to all those who knew, not just Nancy, but her entire family. The other reason I am trying to contact you is because of a newer (last year) article regarding your efforts to establish a memorial of some sort to the memory of the Clutter family. If you, or someone else involved with this project, could let me know where I might send a contribution, I will gladly make a monetary gift for this heartfelt memorial. I may be reached at mecop186@gmail.com or by telephone: 207-803-2126. Thank you and peace be with you.
Det. Sgt. R. L. Bailey (Retired)
