Phillip Wrigley directs the Lawrence High School pep band during the LHS-Free State boys basketball game. Saturday's game at the LHS gymnasium marked the return of the band after it was put on hiatus earlier this school year because of budget and equity concerns. The Lawrence school district stepped in and agreed to allow the band's return. For more on the basketball game, see Page 1C.
