Tom Riggs, from Liberty, Mo., walks near the fossilized skeleton of xiphactinus, which cruised in surface waters of the oceans in the late Cretaceous period more than 65 million years ago. Dyche Hall, which celebrates its 100th birthday this year, is home to many fossilized and stuffed creatures. Riggs viewed many of the museum's exhibits Friday at Kansas University.
