Firefighters from Tonganoxie and several surrounding townships
battle a blaze that destroyed a rural Leavenworth County home and

A house sits off its foundation in Hoisington after a tornado
ripped through the town late Saturday. Officials estimate that 20
to 25 percent of the buildings in this town of 2,900 people, 100
miles northwest of Wichita, were hit by the twister Saturday night
when one person was killed and more than 20 were hurt.
