Who are you here to remember and why?

Asked at Oak Hill Cemetery on May 26, 2015

“I have my grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins buried here. We’ve lived here a long, long time. I’m here with my daughter to talk about who they are; if you keep them in your heart, you keep them alive.”

“My father, Robert E. Cassity — we just buried him three weeks ago — and my two brothers. We’re Patriot Guards; we’re just paying tribute.”

“I am here to remember my grandparents, Ralph Gallup and Stella Hawkins Gallup, their daughter, Alice Gallup, and my aunt and uncle, Hamilton Cady and Stella Gallup Cady. I am grateful for their memories and we are visiting all their graves with flowers.”

“My grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents. I like to come because it gives me a connection to my ancestors. It’s a family tradition.”
