I used to work the pipe shop at Town Crier. There were a lot of kids like Eddie perusing the magazines. They had a great selection.

There was this guy came in every Sunday & bought train magazines, cheap cigars & 2 or 3 porn novels. I sensed a theme with his purchases. It was my job to keep the titles in the porn section stocked because none of the girls wanted anything to do with it.

And my slab bacon.

Maybe. If I do it will be in the old bulletproof F350 rustbucket going no more than 5 mph and stopping at every green or yellow. Too many crazies and drunks. Have to be extra extra careful.

I miss Town Crier. When I was a kid I'd go in there and slip a Playboy inside a Life magazine and really enjoy myself. I never got caught, only at Dean's Books.

I don't use the Facebook or the Twitter, but I may start a flash mob.

Only if I'm drunk. Mass Street Sweets. Catchy. Like Cupcake Construction Co. I wonder how many weeks this one will stay open. Did you know that George's Pipe Shop was downtown for decades? So were Jennings Daylight Donuts and John's Novelties. That was before someone ruined Downtown Lawrence with all the hip and vibrant boutique stores.

I may stumble someplace, but driving is probably out by that time...

I am more worried about the pre-game crowd piling up in the living room and on my barstool at the brewery. Knuckle-head tourists trying to order Bud Lights.

Klumma and BABBOY cut the LJW some slack today. i don't have access to the numbers so I can't tell you the frequency of this occurrence though I know it is extremely rare, but today we have been presented with an "On the street" question that actually has something to do with being on the street.

I wonder if this may have something to do with events leading up to Dec. 21.

"Raw is better!" - BABBOY

Yup. But last I checked it don't show on Friday night.

Question sure makes Lawrence look small town.

(On no, there will be lots of traffic so I better stay home... ohhhhhhhhh, wow, I wish I was not from wimpy Lawrence so I could handle this situation)

I hear rumors of prairie dog eradication in NW Kansas.

Now that there would be a riot.

The_Original_Bob 1 year, 5 months ago

"Are riots forecast?"

Apathy reigns. Enjoy your water.

Not if I can help it.I rarely drive THROUGH town anyway. 6th Street and 31st street are my friends.

RoeDapple 1 year, 5 months ago

I'll just stay home and watch WWE Friday Night Smackdown. Or clip my toe nails.

If I want some real entertainment I might do both.

Klumma 1 year, 5 months ago

LJW.. Is this the best you can up with?? Answer is no, as with every other day that I get home.

But, thanks for tipping off the crazies as to where to plant something like an I.E.D. Might even help our local "Firebug."

/Shrugging my head....You even gave logistics. Sharp as a marble . . . . .

I'll use the T. They run all night and go anywhere don't they?
