Do you watch “American Idol”? Would you watch to see someone with local ties?
Asked at Hy-Vee, 4000 W. Sixth St. on January 28, 2012
“Generally, I stop watching after the auditions. But maybe if (Eudora native Josh Hamlin) continues, I’ll check it out.”
“I’ve never watched it. Maybe I would if there was a finalist from my home area.”
“I only watched recently because someone from my hometown in Wisconsin was supposed to be on.”
“If I watch, it’s only the finale.”

I think Roe doth protest too much... I bet he goes way over his texting limit during Idol season every year voting for his favorite person.

NO. I refuse to watch so called "reality" shows. If a local talent is on one, I'm sure the appearance will show up on a newscast.

I don't even gots no texting plan! I spends 'bout $6 a month on the wife and my texting and the phone company wants to charge us $10 for each phone to "save us money"! Ole Roe ain't always the brightest bulb on the tree but my cypherin' skills is still sharp. Think I'll pass on the $20 to save on $6 worth of texting . . .

We don't even have texting, have it blocked. Had someone ask me last month why I hadn't responded to the texts she had been sending me for the last three months. Didn't occur to her that someone would not have texting.
