Ditto what AreUNorml said. Bill Hicks was the best!!

Johnna Feugate 4 years, 6 months ago

I saw George Carlin in 2006 (Parsons, Kansas), he was hilarious...my pick for sure!

Kevin Sontag 4 years, 6 months ago

Mary Winter fails. The other three people on the street are successful.

I will add Mitch Hedberg and Richard Jeni (both RIP) to the mix.

Brian Regan! Mitch Hedberg Kat Williams Jim Gaffigan

off the top of my head

Lewis Black. But thinking about the fact that THIS guy is the best I can come up with for a favorite comedian makes we want to take a pencil out of a box, sharpen it, sit down at a desk, and stab the pencil through my temple!

Keep repeating yourself like that and you will go blind.

My wife's cooking is so bad that the flies pitched in to fix the screen door. I leave dental floss in the kitchen and watch the roaches hang themselves.

When I was born the doctor slapped my mother.

parrothead8 4 years, 6 months ago

Mitch Hedberg most recently, but my all-time favorite is Bill Cosby. Funniest, and most original, G-rated comedian ever.

Ricky_Vaughn 4 years, 6 months ago

Agree. It's harder to be funny and G-rated. This is why I can't call Richard Pryor one of my all time faves...

PapaB 4 years, 6 months ago

Right now - Zach Galifianakis

Ever - Bill Cosby

kernal 4 years, 6 months ago

Robin Williams. He did a spontaneous routine on that interview show, hosted by Jack Kerouac's son (Stage Door?), that still makes me laugh. After him: George Carlin, Bill Cosby and Spacehog.

Sw33tKatt 4 years, 6 months ago

Adam Sandler, Dave Chepelle, CHRIS FARLEY (tear RIP), Tina Fey

Mary Darst 4 years, 6 months ago

Tator Salad!!! Robin Williams and Bill Mayar. And George Carlin.

Fugu 4 years, 6 months ago

George Carlin..by far. RIP.

Although Daniel Tosh is a new up and coming favorite.

DillonBarnes 4 years, 6 months ago

I completely forgot about Daniel Tosh, saw him a few years ago when he came to Lawrence.

mom_of_three 4 years, 6 months ago

I love Bill Cosby. I also like Ellen Degeneres and Lewis Black.

Jeanne Robertson is also hilarious. She is also part motivational speaker. But she has a piece called "don't bungee jump naked" on youtube..... OMG, so funny...

scopi_guy 4 years, 6 months ago

Phyllis Diller!

Jim Gaffigan is pretty good too, always laugh at the Hot Pockets lines.

Ricky_Vaughn 4 years, 6 months ago

Sheryl Wiggins 4 years, 6 months ago

Eddie Izzard Stephen Wright Jim Gaffigan Bill Cosby. I was just listenin to "Noah--right" last weekend and it's still funny The Smothers Brothers Mitch Hedberg and someone wh's name escapes me but she did a bit about her brother changing his name to Sulieman...... and Spacehog

Rodney Carrington. Check out youtube for videos. He is hilarious.

gphawk89 4 years, 6 months ago

Top four for me are: Richard Pryor Steve Martin Bill Cosby Robin Williams Hard to pick one favorite. They all have (or had) their own unique way of making folks laugh, Bill with G-rated stuff, Steve and Robin PG, and Richard going the R route. But all very funny.

Ricky_Vaughn 4 years, 6 months ago

Hard to pick "the one". George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Cosby, Bill Hicks, Jim Carrey, Dave Chappelle, Chris Farley, and David Allan Grier are some of my faves. Toss up between Carlin and Cosby for me.

I once saw a Tom Papa special (current host of The Marriage Ref) and almost died laughing. PG rated too.

PS - Don't waste your time on Pablo Francisco. I saw him live in KC once and the house comedian was better.

jaycat 4 years, 6 months ago

The cast of the Carol Burnett Show, Johnny Carson as Floyd R Turbo along with most of the before mentioned comidians in previous post.

Can't think of just one favorite comidian, they all made me laugh at one time or another.

kernal 4 years, 6 months ago

Don't know how I could have forgottenTim Conway. When they gave him free rein during a skit, he ran with it. He was the best part of that show.

beatrice 4 years, 6 months ago

ferrislives 4 years, 6 months ago

Richard Pryor Jim Gaffigan Mitch Hedberg Steven Wright Brian Regan Harland Williams Dave Attel Kathleen Madigan James P. Connolly Russel Peters ...just to name a few.

scott3460 4 years, 6 months ago

Can't believe it hasn't been said, but....our very own Tom Shewmon.

His stuff can be pretty funny if in the right frame of mind. His recent routine re: his "significant" investments in BP stock and decision to hold (as the stock has declined by 37-38% or so) is my favorite.

beatrice 4 years, 6 months ago

And Monty Python ("You've got two empty 'alves of coconuts and you're banging them together.) Six very funny guys.

Man there are so many: George Carlin, Lisa Lampinelli, Ron White ( I have tix for his upcoming TPAC show-can't wait), Bob Saget (saw him last year at Midland and he was too funny), John Caparillo, Sebastian Caustillo, Richard Pryor, there's this rather large Mexican dude who does a show called I'm Not Fat I'm Fluffy-can't remember his name but he kills me and I also love Ellen's early stuff.
