Did you order any Girl Scout Cookies this year?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on February 20, 2007
“They have a chart at Audio-Reader that I meant to sign. They're probably on their way. I'm going to try and order more if I still can. I usually like to get the Thin Mints.”
— Jim Parente, retired, rural Lawrence
“No, I haven't. I try to avoid the sweets. I'm a baker, so I don't need any more cookies in my life.”
— Leslie Hansen, baker, Lawrence
“Oh yes. I have a granddaughter, so I ordered a lot. I even took the form to work so other people could. I got the Caramel deLites, Thin Mints, shortbread and chocolate and peanut butter. You've got to have peanut butter.”
— Donna Writt, teacher, Lawrence
“Yeah. My neighbor is in Girl Scouts, so I ordered some from her. I can't eat them during wrestling season, so I freeze them for later. You don't even have to thaw the mint ones out.”
— Jake Pfannenstiel, Lawrence High School sophomore, Lawrence
