Are you a fan of movies that are adapted from books?

“Not normally, because the book is always better than the movie. There's not enough time to fit everything in. If it's the same person that writes the book and the screenplay, then it might be OK.”

“No. They're always disappointing. They are two different media, and they should be appreciated for what they are. One rarely lives up to the expectations of the other.”

“Yeah, I guess so. If somebody gets excited about a book and tries to make a movie that does it justice, it could be good. I don't think it's a bad thing.”

“Not particularly. I'll watch them, but from my personal experience the book is always way, way better than the movie turns out to be.”
