How does Lawrence change when Kansas University goes on break?
Asked at Free State Brewing Co., 636 Mass. on March 23, 2004
“That’s hard to say. Awhile ago it seemed like the town was desolate, but anymore it seems like there’s no change.”
“I’d say there’s a lot less traffic and the city seems at peace.”
“I see it as much more laid back. It’s the people who live here and the people who care about the place. It’s more pleasant.”
“It’s like a breath of fresh air. It’s more peaceful, and there’s less traffic.”
