Should the city approve reduced bus rates for schoolchildren?
Asked at the downtown Lawrence post office, 645 Vt. on March 19, 2004
“Sure. Getting a kid to school should be as easy as possible.”
“I think it would be a good idea. I don’t know the full details, but I think they would be beneficial because some of them can’t afford to do anything else.”
“It seems more beneficial for students to use buses provided by the school system for safety reasons. But if that isn’t possible, whatever’s cheapest for the parents.”
“Yeah, definitely. Anything that makes education more accessible is a good thing.”
