Do you think it’s early for President Bush and opponent John Kerry to begin attacking each other?
Asked at New Hampshire Street on March 13, 2004
“It doesn’t seem early. The sooner the better from Bush’s perspective because he’s got a lot more money to burn. It puts Kerry in a position where he has to respond and use his resources more quickly.”
“It is early. However, I think it’s a sign of how different this campaign is going to be.”
“Unfortunately, it doesn’t surprise me at all. I have a rather cynical view of politics.”
“I don’t think it’s early, but I think it’s wrong and destructive. It limits the potential that we have in a real democracy.”
