Is it appropriate for President Bush to use images of 9-11 in his campaign advertising?
Asked at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. on March 5, 2004
“I don’t think it’s appropriate because of all the relatives of the people who were killed. It would bring back a lot of memories that are unnecessary.”
“No, because that’s an experience that didn’t happen to him personally, but he’s used it as if it’s connected to him and not to anything else.”
“He probably shouldn’t take advantage of it, but the events afterward were part of what he’s done in office.”
“No. I think it’s offensive to families with people who died there. He’s using a national tragedy to bolster his campaign.”
