In honor of the 100th anniversary of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, what is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Asked at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. on March 2, 2004
“It was ‘Green Eggs and Ham.’ That was my son’s favorite book so I read it to him over and over when he was a child.”
“Probably ‘The Lorax.’ It teaches good environmentalism.”
“My favorite Dr. Seuss book is ‘The Cat in the Hat’ because that was the first book I ever read.”
“My favorite was ‘One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.’ There was another one, too, called ‘Happy Birthday to You!’ It’s a great story for kids where the birthday bird brings presents.”

Here is a list if you need help remembering them. I always enjoyed reading 'Hop on Pop' to my kids. I found some of the books cleaver and some just weird. One of my least favorites is the 'Cat and the Hat' though. The cat just gives me the creeps.
