Should the currency be changed so that Ronald Reagan appears on U.S. money?
Asked at Centennial Park on June 9, 2004
“I approve of the $10 bill change. What did Hamilton do? But I don’t approve of the dime change because FDR was one of the great presidents, too.”
“Sure. He was a good president.”
“I don’t agree with the paper bills, but I wouldn’t mind the half-and-half split on the dime. He wasn’t a great enough president to change the 10.”
“No. He wasn’t that great of a president. He did some good things, but he did a lot of bad things, too. He doesn’t belong up there with Lincoln.”
