Should Lawrence more strictly enforce a law requiring homeowners to clear ice and snow from sidewalks in front of their homes?

“If it’s a rule, they probably should. KU does such a bad job, we don’t need Lawrence doing a bad job, too.”
“Yes. It’s a common courtesy. You don’t want to be walking in front of someone’s house and fall because they didn’t clean off their sidewalk.”
“I think it’s too hard to clear ice off. You can’t get under it with a shovel. Maybe they should hire a couple people to clear off sidewalks.”
“Yes and no. It’s important for mail carriers and guests visiting a house, but there are older people who physically can’t do it and can’t afford to hire someone to do it.”
