What aspect of public education is the most in need of increased funding?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on January 16, 2004
“Paying for teachers’ education. Some money could go into paying for master’s degrees for teachers, helping both teachers and students.”
“I think it’s the young ones. There’s going to be more impact if you help young kids get on the path of a good education.”
“I’m a proponent of the arts, like theater and music. And teachers’ salaries. They definitely don’t get paid enough.”
“I think teachers’ salaries are the most important thing. Lawrence has cut teachers over the years, so class sizes become larger. That impacts students.”
