Are reality television shows that give volunteer contestants plastic surgery taking the genre too far?

“I think that it’s feeding on people’s insecurities, which is wrong.”
“I think reality TV in general is taking it too far. If people want to have it done and are willing to do it, that’s their choice. They’re the ones that have to deal with it.”
“It’s getting to the point where everything is reality TV. If someone gets plastic surgery just to get on a TV show, that’s kind of sad — having to change yourself to impress people you don’t know.”
“I think reality shows are a symptom of our culture not having enough to do. You’d have to think so little of your life. When those women look at their souls, they still won’t see a swan.”
