Are people younger than 26 less interested in politics than people older than 26?

“People in college are probably more interested, but in general probably less. Maybe the people I hang out with are more interested.”
“When I was younger I did think about it as much, but it was more lighthearted. As you get older the views are more serious. They think about it, but a lot of the stuff doesn’t really apply to them.”
“For people under 26, it just depends on what their personal interests are. As they get older and more on their own they become more interested in what’s going on and who’s leading their world.”
“As a general rule, yes, I think they’re less interested because it really hasn’t started to affect their lives yet.”
