Should a sales tax to benefit public schools be assessed at the county or city level?

“I think if there’s a tax advantage, it should be on a countywide basis. That would be more fair.”

“Probably a county tax because most of the money spent in Lawrence isn’t just Lawrence residents, it’s the whole county.”

“I think it should be through the county because they all need money for education.”

“I think that because Lawrence is growing and a lot of people from Baldwin and Eudora live in Lawrence, the county approach would probably be fair.”
