Should developed nations stop subsidizing farmers so farmers from less developed nations can better compete?

“Yeah. I think they deserve to make money just like all the other people. They should have a fair chance.”

“I’m in favor of dropping subsidies so long as other countries are required to pay farmers enough for an equivalent standard of living.”

“I think it’s worth taking a look at. Have a nonpartisan group do a study to see what kind of effect that would have.”

“From a global perspective, it’s better if everyone’s equal, but that certainly hurts the local farmer. The U.S. has the responsibility to take a leadership role. The U.S. has it to give so underdeveloped countries can catch up.”
