Should the city of Lawrence ban exotic animal acts, such as circuses, to prevent possible animal cruelty?

“I would say yeah, I think that’s a good idea. I like the idea of giving animals the same respect I’d like to see humans get.”

“I have a thing about animals being in cages. But circuses bring enjoyment to people’s lives, especially children, that they don’t experience daily. I’m going to have to sit on the fence on that one.”

“I don’t think so. If the circus has been proven to be cruel to animals, then the Humane Society should step in and take the animals away.”

“I didn’t know there were exotic animal acts in the city. No, I don’t think it’s an issue.”
