How do you plan to keep natural gas bills down this winter?
Asked at a Hy-Vee, 3504 Clinton Parkway on November 2, 2003
“We keep our thermostat at 59 at night and during the day when we’re gone, then crank it up to 67 for the morning and evening. If it gets really cold we’ll close down the second floor and live in the basement.”
“We live out the country and have our own gas well. We’ll use it more than the others.”
“Probably dressing warmer, making sure there are no drafts in the house and using the fireplace a lot.”
“I hadn’t given it much thought, but I’ll keep the thermostat at 68. No different than I’ve done in the past.”
