Are cell phones making regular phones obsolete?

“I do believe that. I’ve been trying to get a phone for the past month and they want deposits and this and that. With the phone I have I buy the card, I get the minutes I need to, and I can go anywhere.”

“Yes, because with cell phones you save on long-distance bills. And, people are moving so quickly it’s easier to just keep your mobile than to set up a phone.”

“No, because they are basically two-way radios that don’t function everywhere.”

“I think they are. You can call from anywhere instead of staying at home. You can be mobile.”
