What should go where the elm tree stood near Eighth and Rhode Island streets?
Asked at Community Mercantile Co-op on March 20, 2003
“A park would be a good thing because the community can never have too many things for kids to do. If there’s more for them to do, it will keep them out of trouble.”
“A new tree.”
“A pocket park, that’s a great idea. No more concrete.”
“I think a quiet place for reflection and rest, perhaps with pretty plants and benches. A little park, in other words.”
