Does the state of Kansas spend enough on higher education?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on June 26, 2003
“Probably not. I don’t think they spend enough on education K through 12.”
“No, considering we just got education cuts.”
“No. We have to pay more tuition now. I’m in the Guard, and they cut down on the funding that they give to help people in the Guard pay for their tuition.”
“The answer is no. The reason is that education is one of the important obligations of the state, and they have been moving away from it to pick up other obligations.”
