Should Congress continue to ban assault weapons?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on June 16, 2003
“Yeah, I don’t see any reason why a person would need an assault weapon. You don’t need it to go hunting, and a handgun or rifle is enough to go hunting with.”
“I’m kind of indifferent. If you’re going to shoot someone, you could shoot them a whole bunch of times.”
“Yes. There’s no reason for anybody to have them.”
“Yeah, for sure. We don’t need people shooting up everyone. I think we learned that in the ‘20s.”
