What kind of impact will Lew Perkins have on Kansas University athletics?
Asked at Malls Barber Shop, 711 W. 23rd St. on June 12, 2003
“He’ll definitely make the program better. We’re hoping for a good season in sports.”
“Since he’s been at UConn, and they are pretty good, I’ll bet he works wonders here at KU.”
“I think he’ll have a very positive impact. He’s wanting to bring in money to the university through women’s basketball, which will be a good thing. And I know he’s big on football.”
“I’d say the major thing is if he can get football and women’s basketball and some of the other sports to have a positive impact as far as making money and not losing money, then that’s the major contributing factor, as far as hiring him.”
