Should Blue Cross of Kansas stay based in Kansas or be sold to an outside company?
Asked at Lawrence Public Library on February 5, 2003
“I think we’re in an international enough world that it doesn’t really matter where it’s based, as long as they know the basics of the area.”
“I think it should remain in Kansas to serve the people of Kansas better. The people of Kansas know how to serve Kansas people better.”
“I guess it should remain in Kansas because that’s where Blue Cross Blue Shield started, and if it goes out of state the interests of Kansas will be lessened.”
“Probably sold out because I think it should be available to everybody.”
