Would Lawrence kindergartners benefit from a full-day program?

“I think it should stay a half-day. They’re little, and they need that extra time in the afternoon to play.”

“Some would; some wouldn’t. Those who have moms at home would probably not, but those in day care might.”

“I think they would benefit because a lot of parents work full-time, so if schools have the kids for longer periods, it would improve their way of life.”

“I’m against it because after half a day they’re tired, they can’t pay attention. And the burnout is incredible for these kids because they’ve had pre-preschool and all that. ”
