Will you go see Mars next week when it will be closer than it has been in 60,000 years?
Asked at Borders Books, Music and Cafe on August 22, 2003
“Yes, because it’s something rare and something to do by moonlight.”
“Yes, because it’s big and red.”
“We live in Topeka and Washburn University has a big telescope. So we were hoping to go see it through the telescope because it will be cool.”
“Probably not because I didn’t know until now that it would be that close. But if I get time I may try to go see it.”
