Should the United States have a government-sponsored national health care plan?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on August 13, 2003
“Yes … I’m Canadian, and we have health insurance up there. For little cuts and stuff, it’s ridiculous to go in there and wait for hours and then pay a huge fee for something that could have been taken care of by a local clinic.”
“Definitely yes. I think we should take care of everyone in the country to the level of health care.”
“I’d have to say no. I guess the reason is that I’m not happy with the government-sponsored education program.”
“Yeah, because there are a lot of people who can’t afford health insurance.”
