Would a bond issue to improve Douglas County roads fare better with voters than the failed school bond issue?

“It will because it won’t be as large.”

“It depends on how much they ask for. If it’s in the same neighborhood on the amount, I’d say no. If it’s less, maybe.”

“For me, personally I would be more apt to support the education bond because we already pay so much for roads, like on I-70. Our roads are pretty well-funded, in my opinion.”

“I think anything that increases taxes is going to be difficult for the citizens to OK, but it probably would fare better than the (school) bond issue at this point. However, I don’t necessarily think it’s more important.”
