Should local governments assist the school district by paying for some school programs and services?

“The schools’ money comes from the state. Until the state gets its budget worked out, the city may have to assist with the school budget.”

“Absolutely. I think education is extremely important. It’s the job of the government to help.”

“There really aren’t that many choices. If the schools can’t raise the taxes for themselves, perhaps the city is the only way to go.”

“Most definitely. It’s their responsibility to help these kids do everything they can to grow up and have a future.”
