When should the United Nations lift sanctions against Iraq?

“Immediately. In spite of George Bush’s impetuous decision to go to war, I think the U.N. can help the Iraqi people find peace as well as democracy.”

“Once they’ve established their government. When Iraq has gotten their government together, we should probably consider it.”

“Immediately. We’ve starved them to death long enough.”

“Now. The reasons for those sanctions are gone. They were put in place because of a regime that no longer exists. There are a lot of people suffering there now.”
