Should affirmative action play a role in education and employment opportunities?
Asked at Hoglund Ballpark and South Park: on April 2, 2003
“Yes. It’s in place now, and I think it should continue. I don’t think the administration or the judicial branch should be able to change that. It’s working fine now.”
“I think it should play a role, but I don’t think it should be the determining factor. I think qualifications are just as important as someone’s gender or race.”
“No, because people are people. It doesn’t matter what color they are, what background they have.”
“I think it should play a role, but not a significant role. It should be weighted a bit so you don’t have quotas where they have to admit so many minorities or lower-represented groups.”
