What should be done to cure Kansas’ budget woes?
Asked at Centennial Park on September 22, 2002
“I think we should increase cigarette taxes even more. State senators and representatives, any government officials, should be willing to take a pay cut. They write increases in every year and shouldn’t do it anymore.”
“They could always raise taxes. That would be a solution to the problem.”
“Take it out of the politicians’ pockets.”
“All I know is I’m really upset about what they did to education. I’ve got two daughters in school, and they cut a lot of programs.”
