Do you think Lawrence should ban people who aren’t riding the bus from using the bus shelters?
Asked at the Lawrence Public Library on September 17, 2002
“I don’t think they should. People have been sitting there ever since I’ve lived here. There isn’t such a demand for benches that we have to tell them to sit elsewhere.”
“I don’t know how they are separating people who are riding the bus from those that aren’t. If people just want to sit, it would be infringing on their freedom. They can sit where they want.”
“No, people need a place to relax. It’s not that big of a problem.”
“I think they just need an alternate system. Put some other benches around it to get more seating.”
