Should companies that made lead paint be responsible for damages it has caused to people?

“As long as they knew back then that it was harmful, like the tobacco industry.”

“It depends on if they knew at the time that lead is as dangerous as it is.”

“That depends. If they knew lead was dangerous and did it anyway, they should have to pay.”

“I’d say probably so. If you’re in a situation where you are making a product, you have to be responsible for the consequences, good or bad.”
