If an obese passenger requires two seats on an aircraft, should the passenger or the airline pay?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on October 23, 2002
“Probably the obese person because they let themselves get that way. People would start making up reasons they need two seats.”
“There’s a good chance it’s not their fault. I don’t think they should have to pay.”
“If they need two seats, it’s logical that they have to pay for them.”
“The food conglomerates who force processed carbohydrates on the public and the politicians who are in their pockets should have to pay.”
