Do you think Lawrence would be a nice city to retire in?
Asked at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. on October 15, 2002
“If you fish and hunt in your retirement, you’d be right in the middle of it. Lawrence is one of the most livable cities in the country.”
“Yes. I think health care is good, the winter is mild compared to Minnesota or Wisconsin. It’s a friendly town. It’s easy to make friends and have a good social support system here.”
“Yes. They have a lot of cultural things with KU and the Lied Center. Plus, now that we have a bus system, I think that’s a plus.”
“Yes I do, because it’s rich in culture and I think there’s lots of diversity in the age group.”
