What effects do you think the new air pollution standards will have?
Asked at Buford M. Watson Jr. Park on November 24, 2002
“I guess it’s good for business, bad for present and future generations.”
“I’m very unhappy that they’re lowering the standards because I worry that it will affect my health and my children’s health. I don’t think that lowering standards will increase business opportunity. It’s time for us to start taking care of our world.”
“This is wrong. Companies should have to be in the middle of nowhere so they don’t harm people breathing.”
“If they (the companies) are environmentally conscious is the thing, are they willing to spend the money it will take. Let’s hope they do. Things will swing back the other way in a few years, probably.”
