Is suspension an appropriate punishment for hazing?

“They shouldn’t have been punished. We did that to our underclassmen. We didn’t paddle them or anything, but we made them do a lot of stupid things.”

“I think it’s fair. If they didn’t want to get in trouble, they shouldn’t have done it.”

“What’s wrong with hazing? It’s just a little paddling. I guess they should be suspended, but not kicked out of school.”

“The ones that hit somebody hard enough to break a bone should be punished. It depends on what you call hazing.”
