Do you think the Elizabeth Smart case concerning the Utah girl who was kidnapped has received too much media attention?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on July 12, 2002
“I think I’d be 50/50 on it. I’m sure there are specific details, and that’s why it’s getting so much attention.”
“I can think of reasons why she would get so much attention. You get out of crimes all the time because of socio-economic status. Maybe you get other privileges.”
“I don’t think she gets too much attention, but I wish other cases got as much attention.”
“I would say yes, but it is probably bringing more attention to missing children in general, so it’s a good thing.”
