What do you think of the increased sales tax, which took effect Monday?

“It’s about time they did this. It’s such a bad time with the economy, that’s pretty much our only option although I don’t want to pay any more than I have to.”
“I was surprised and disturbed when they told me it had gone up and not down. … It’s ridiculous to have a tax increase on the same day stamps go up.”
“I think the government is trying to get money wherever they can.”
“I don’t like to pay more when I’m going to buy something; but if we had to increase sales tax for the economy, then I don’t mind paying more.”
