Should it be harder for married couples with children to divorce?
Asked at Lawrence Public Library on January 31, 2002
“Yes, for the kids.”
“It should. If you break up, you split the kids up, and that tends to be traumatic.”
“I have mixed feelings because if the relationship isn’t working and it’s going to cause more harm to the family, then I could see divorce as helping the situation.”
“No. Right now it’s just easier for couples to just live together and share finances.”
