Is underage drinking a problem in Lawrence, and if so, what should be done to correct it?

“Yes, it’s a problem. They have restrictions in place; it’s up to (bar) owners and managers to ensure they are carried out.”

“We need a system of checks and balances where undercover youths would attempt to buy alcohol, and if they aren’t carded there will be consequences.”

“I would assume yes because it tends to be the case in most towns. There really is no way to correct it. Kids will drink regardless.”

“It’s always a problem and they need to make sure that they card at the door and check IDs. So often people don’t get carded at the door.”
