How involved should the United States be in the Middle East?
Asked at Borders on April 13, 2002
“There’s the part of me that says the United States should play a hefty part in it. … But at the same time, we can’t let what we’re doing turn into a puppet dictatorship.”
“It strikes me that it seems a bit presumptuous for one nation to tell another what to do.”
“Less. I think we should stay out of everybody’s business.”
“I’m a strict isolationist. … There are lots of groups that need help in our own nation.”
