“Yes, because of the mood of the nation with our security and the awareness of lives that were given to keep us safe.”

“I think people are more appreciative of the services rendered by the people who have served or are serving in the military.”

“I believe Veterans Day is getting more recognition because the nation is coming together and honoring people better.”

Veteran's Day is always a significant event because I am an army wife. This year more so than normal because my husband is deployed and will not be home for Veteran's day or the holidays. Please keep the soldiers and children of the four Lawrence families that are from our unit in your prayers this year. Thank you!

This one will be sad. Will be the first Veteran's Day in several years I can't wish a Happy Veteran's Day to someone who meant a great deal to me.

It is special, in part, because, in Pottawatomie County, in or near the town of Onaga, lives a young girl whose Golden Birthday is this very November Eleventh. She turns eleven years of age on11/11/11. May she always be blessed with the freedoms that our veterans have protected.
